Key Responsibilities

The Beverage Captain will be successful when:
The Department at Hudsons private events are flawlessly executed with high-quality libations and service throughout the event season.

WHAT YOULL DO

DAILY OPERATIONS
Lead bar set-up to ensure it is executed in a timely manner
Own product prep in advanced
Review and understand BEOs
Assisting with monthly inventory and consumption bar sheets
Monitor staffing levels
Lead by example for all bartenders in punctuality appearance and work quality; including training
Participate in pre-shift meetings alongside event managers
Check proper amount of bar products and glassware are pulled per event
Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for all guests while anticipating their needs
Demonstrate expert knowledge of specialty classic and signature cocktails (ingredients specs build) wine beer and beverage offerings
Maintain fluency in all menu items and ingredients with the ability to suggest beverage pairings
Monitor proper steps of service with the team throughout each event
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and prep areas; putting away product
Can communicate effectively with staff members and management during service
Report incidents and areas of opportunity to management
Additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership
Support special activations throughout other Hudson related outlets

FINANCIAL IMPACT
Be a catalyst for continuous improvement
Monitor overpouring waste and proper handling of bar products and glassware


Skills Knowledge & Expertise


Must have five years of bartending experience knowledge of techniques and equipment for serving storing and handling food and beverage products
Leadership experienced recommended
Efficient in describing and serving different types of liquor cocktails beer and wine
Preferred TIPS Certification or can pass TIPS Class to become certified
