CBI provides residential outpatient inpatient patient-centered medical homes medication-assisted treatment and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis opioid use disorder homelessness and mental is the premiere non-profit fully integrated healthcare provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona including prevention education and treatment using cutting-edge nationally recognized evidence-based SummaryThe Benefits Specialist is the initial point of contact for all individuals seeking voluntary services during the Outpatient Service Center (OSC) hours of operation. The Benefits Specialist is responsible for answering phone calls routed through the facility and connects callers to the appropriate staff or facility based. This position is responsible for obtaining insurance and co-pay information for service(s) where necessary maintaining contact with respective referral sources and communicating co-payment information with the CBI Billing Department. The Benefits Specialist is also responsible for obtaining and documenting patients referral and demographic information in the electronic health record (EHR).Skills/RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or higher preferred. 3 years of experience with insurance verification and/or front desk experience in a medical office setting preferred. Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders preferred. Valid identification required.
