Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies as may be required regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Job Overview
The BD / Business Case Analyst supportscommercial and marketing leadershipby developing datadriven business cases financial models and market insights that inform growth decisions across the DePuy Synthes portfolio. This role partners closely with Marketing Commercial and Business Development teams to evaluate new opportunities partnerships and investments translating complex data into clear recommendations that drive strategic and profitable growth. The position offers strong exposure to crossfunctional stakeholders and enterpriselevel decision making.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development ofbusiness cases financial models and scenario analysesfor marketing and commercial initiatives.
Collaborate with Business Development and Commercial teams toevaluate growth opportunities partnerships and market expansion initiatives.
Conductmarket competitive and trend analysisto inform strategic planning and portfolio decisions.
Translate customer market and partner insights intoactionable recommendationsfor product and commercialization strategies.
Prepare clear conciseexecutiveready presentationsandsupportingmaterials for leadership reviews and investment decisions.
Partner crossfunctionally with Marketing Finance and Strategy teams to ensurealignment with longterm businessobjectives.
Monitor industry technology and healthcare trends to supportmedium and longterm commercial planning.
Qualifications
Education
Required:Bachelors degree in Business Finance Economics Marketing ora relatedfield.
Preferred:MBA or advanced degree ina relateddiscipline.
Experience and Skills
Required:
Generallyrequires4-6years of professional work experiencein business analysis commercial analytics consulting or a related area.
Experience supportingfinancial modeling business cases or analytical projects.
Strong analytical problemsolving and quantitative skills.
Ability to synthesize complex information intoclear insights and recommendations.
Proficiencywith Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; comfort working with data sets.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for crossfunctional collaboration.
Preferred:
Experience inmedical devices healthcare or life sciences.
Exposure tomarketing strategy commercial operations or business development.
Familiarity with market sizing pricing analysis or portfolio strategy concepts.
Experience working in amatrixed crossfunctional environment.
Other:
Language:English (businessproficiency).
Travel:Up to 10% domestic travel.
