Job Summary
The Business Development & Bid Coordinator acts as the hub for all proposal activities supporting the growth strategy by managing bid processes conducting market research and collaborating with crossfunctional teams to produce compelling compliant proposals that win new business.
DaytoDay Duties
Identify and qualify new business opportunities and RFPs aligned with strategic goals.
Develop and maintain a bid calendar tracking deadlines and coordinating internal review cycles.
Gather input from sales operations finance legal and technical teams to compile complete bid packages.
Write edit and format bid contentincluding executive summaries technical narratives pricing sheets and supporting documentation.
Perform competitive analysis and market research to inform bid positioning and pricing strategies.
Manage bid library templates and bestpractice resources for future use.
Provide regular status updates and risk assessments to senior leadership.
Ensure all proposals comply with contractual regulatory and internal policy requirements.
Participate in postsubmission debriefs to capture lessons learned and improve subsequent bids.
Assist senior business development staff with client outreach relationship building and prospect qualification.
MustHaves (Essential Qualifications)
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing Communications or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
36 years of experience in business development bid coordination or proposal management.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) and familiarity with bidmanagement or CRM software.
Strong organizational and projectmanagement abilities; capable of handling multiple concurrent bids.
Analytical mindset for interpreting pricing data market trends and competitive information.
Collaborative team player who can also work independently and drive initiatives forward.
