Job Summary
In this role you will utilize your electronics design skills to design develop and test battery monitoring units and Battery management units (BMU) for next generation consumer electronic products. You will work with suppliers to develop custom parts where needed and design test methodologies to verify the battery management unit design!
Push the boundaries of technologies to maximize performance and minimize volume through modeling and simulationnSpecify custom parts and PCBs for use in BMUsnAnalyze the design with simulation tools and calculations to verify its conformance to the IC models and conduct model validationnConduct design validation on prototypes to implement the designnConduct design reviews incorporate team feedback and release the design documents for buildsnCollaborate with multi-functional partners (Product Design System EE Cell Engineering Firmware Algorithms etc.) to ensure the product is developed on time andnConduct investigations and prepare reports for problems or issuesnDevelop schematic and guide component selection to meet all physical and electrical requirements of BMU. nSpecify production test plans and limits and work with CM partners to realize design
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field of studynExperience in analog integrated circuit design such as DACs LDOs SMPSs or relevant
MS degree and 10 years relevant industry experiencenExperience with creating and using real-numbered models in System Verilog or analog behavioral models in Verilog-A/MSnIndustry experience in Power Electronics Battery Management (fuel gauge and charger) Portable Consumer Electronics Medical Electronics or Automotive ElectronicsnExperience scripting in Python Shell Unix or MATLAB for test automation and data analysisnExperience with high volume manufacturingnExperience developing a list of tests from the datasheet to determine chip coveragenAbility to create functionally equivalent models to the associated portions of the designnExcellent written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting data to cross-functional teams and/or managementnUnderstanding of the silicon manufacturing process and how semiconductor devices and associated parasitic subcircuits are created
