Baseball Coach

8th Grade

JobGoal(s):To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills strategy and physical trainingnecessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the sametime the coach must instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to sociallyacceptable character development self discipline self confidence and pride ofaccomplishment in the student athletes. To upgrade his/her knowledge and skillsthrough coaching clinics observations consultation etc.

Qualifications

Has the ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
The coach must have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sportand at the same time must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
The coach must serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes throughhis/her instructions and actions.

Certifications

Valid CHRC

Performance Responsibilities

Has a thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by theMt. Blue DistrictSchools Board of Education and is responsible for their implementation.
Has knowledge of existing system state and league regulations.

Education

The coach must be at least 20 years of age or a high school graduate.

Experience

Comprehensive knowledge of the game is preferred as well asknowledge of current coaching techniques and procedures. Knowledge of NFHS and MPA Rules. Demonstrate ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.

Working Schedule

Flexible after school hours required for scheduled matches both home and away.

Travel Requirements

Travelto home and away matches. Travel to state team and individual competitions when players qualify.

Reports To:Director of Athletics / Building Administration

Terms of Employment: As determined annually by the District.

Evaluation:Completed annually byDirector of Athletics

FLSA Status:Exempt

Stipend:$2848
