Job Summary

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly efficient and professional manner. This role ensures an exceptional guest experience by providing knowledgeable recommendations maintaining bar cleanliness and organization and upholding all safety sanitation and alcohol-service standards. The Bartender works closely with restaurant staff to support smooth service and a welcoming atmosphere.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences.
• Provide prompt attentive and courteous service to all guests seated at the bar or dining area.
• Engage with guests to create a warm hospitable environment and enhance overall dining experience.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of beverage offerings including wine list beer selections cocktails and specialty drinks.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow all responsible-service guidelines.
• Operate the POS system to accurately enter orders process payments and reconcile cash/receipts.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar including glassware tools equipment and product storage.
• Restock bar inventory garnishes and supplies as needed throughout the shift.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures including inventory counts and bar setup/breakdown.
• Collaborate with servers hosts and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient service flow.
• Follow all food safety health and sanitation standards.
• Adhere to company policies procedures and alcohol-service regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a full-service restaurant bar or hospitality environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of classic cocktails spirits beer and wine.
• Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
• Ability to multitask stay organized and work effectively during busy periods.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must meet legal age requirements for serving alcohol.
• Familiarity with POS systems preferred.
