Banquets Training & Development Lead Captain

Job Title: Banquets - Training & Development Lead CaptainJob Pay Range: $21.00-40.00/Hr. inclusive hourly pay rate service charge**$21-40 per hour based on $7.00 per hour base wage service charge commission paid per shift; historically this position averages service charge commission earnings of $14-33 per hour. This role will play a key part in continuing to uphold our reputation and providing exceptional service to our a member of our Banquet team this position is responsible for the training of all banquet department staff conducting regular banquet training of all out of department staff training and auditing of trainers and their performance and maintain/updating all training materials as needed. This individual will work closely with the Banquet Captains and assist with the Banquet Administrative Office on a daily/weekly basis in addition to several supervisory and operational responsibilities as detailed in the following:Our employees represent the Broadmoor brand and are Ambassadors of our Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond Standards. Learn more about Broadmoor Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following (other duties may be assigned): Spearhead all departmental training and team attend audit and monitor events and staff staff performance observations to include Servers Trainers Bartenders all Captains and Beverage Captains and Provide on the job correction redirection and live time feedback to ensure consistent performance and adherence to performance issues and training concerns directly to the Director and Assistant Director of and coordinate all safety trainings and safety all new hire training new hire training trainers to ensure training structure compliance accountability and proper documentation of feedback and progress of and implement a monthly out-of-department training and certification program for all staff wanting to pick up shifts within the banquet with our preferred contract labor providers to design and implement a training program for temp laborers to be certified in Broadmoor service basics prior to working on and train all new evaluate trainers and conduct re-certification trainings to ensure consistency in training subject matter and review and update departmental training manuals to ensure relevance and and maintain digital training records and files for all evaluate team performance to identify areas of opportunity for continued evaluate all employees to identify individual training needs and implement personalized training develop schedule and conduct monthly quarterly and annual training creative and innovative training techniques such as role playing interactive activities hands on exercises and schedule on and off-site team building banquet administrative office in monitoring and addressing employee attendance and with the hiring and onboarding of new weekly reports to communicate training plans and progress with Banquet duties may include:Basic office duties such as answering phones responding to emails and assisting with BEO organization and employees shifts in Dayforce as needed and communicates changes as Banquet Department Phone Lists Email Lists other Department Employees contact lists as with staffing and scheduling as with department time and attendance process to include verifying staff punch times making necessary edits maintaining time and attendance departmental and hotel staff meetings as with research and resolution of billing inquiries from the Convention Billing Department through communication with Banquet Captains and Captains daily logs. Bachelors degree in hospitality management is have one year of Office Administration and/or Supervisory or Management experience and three years of experience in a Food & Beverage Position preferably in a luxury or 5 star establishment banquet experience a friendly and energetic team member who works well with othersValid U.S. Drivers License preferred to assist with driving shuttles or transporting guests as needed.
