Job Description
What You Will Be Doing
  • Handle a variety of bankruptcy and restructuring matters involving creditors debtors and other stakeholders.
  • Represent clients in Chapter 7 Chapter 11 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Draft and review pleadings motions briefs and other legal documents.
  • Prepare and review transactional documents related to bankruptcy and restructuring.
  • Conduct detailed legal research and analyze complex legal and financial issues.
  • Assist partners with case strategy negotiations and resolution of bankruptcy matters.
  • Make regular appearances in bankruptcy court and participate in hearings.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding case status strategy and legal issues.
  • Manage case deadlines filings and multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with partners and attorneys across different practice groups.
  • Participate in business development initiatives as needed.
Experience You Will Need
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania or eligibility for prompt admission.
  • Prior experience in bankruptcy restructuring or commercial litigation strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of bankruptcy law and restructuring principles.
  • Experience drafting pleadings motions briefs and bankruptcy-related transactional documents.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial information complex legal issues and case strategy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify assess and resolve complex legal issues.
  • Comfortable with court appearances and courtroom advocacy.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail professional judgment ethics and client-service orientation.
  • Must be comfortable working full-time on-site in Philadelphia PA.
