We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a Medical/Surgical Observation and Telemetry setting. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients developing and implementing individualized care plans administering medications and treatments monitoring patient progress and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a Medical/Surgical Observation and Telemetry setting. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients developing and implementing individualized care plans administering medications and treatments monitoring patient progress and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in Medical/Surgical Observation and Telemetry units.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
- Administer medications treatments and intravenous therapies in accordance with physician orders.
- Interpret and monitor telemetry rhythms reporting significant findings promptly.
- Develop implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses medications treatments and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians therapists case managers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Accurately document patient assessments interventions and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and changes in patient condition.
- Adhere to infection prevention patient safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (or compact license if applicable).
- Current BLS certification (AHA required if specified by facility).
- ACLS certification may be required based on facility requirements.
- Minimum of 12 years of recent Medical/Surgical Observation and/or Telemetry nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment critical thinking communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous travel nursing experience is a plus.
