AWS Cloud Solutions Architect
Location: Chicago Houston (hybrid)
Duration: 3 Month Contract with potential extensions
Overview
Our client is seeking an AWS Cloud Solutions Architect to support procurement and finance transformation initiatives. This role will focus on translating business requirements into technical solution designs architecture documentation and integration strategies within AWS environments.
Key Responsibilities

Review business requirements and create technical solution designs and architecture documentation.
Design scalable secure and cost-effective AWS solutions.
Develop architecture diagrams integration patterns and technical specifications.
Partner with business stakeholders vendors and technology teams to align solutions with business objectives.
Support procurement and finance-related initiatives including Coupa and ERP transformation efforts.
Ensure proposed solutions address security compliance and data management requirements.

Required Qualifications

7 years of solution architecture experience in enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of AWS services and AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
Experience translating business requirements into technical architectures.
Knowledge of APIs integrations SaaS platforms and cloud-based solution design.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Coupa procurement systems or procurement transformation programs.
Experience with Oracle ERP or finance transformation initiatives.
Familiarity with chart of accounts financial systems or ERP integrations.
AWS certifications preferred.

Nice to Know

This is primarily a solution architecture and design role not a hands-on cloud engineering position.
Deep Coupa or Oracle expertise is helpful but not required.
Security knowledge should focus on designing secure solutions rather than operational security remediation.

Ideal Candidate: A senior AWS architect who can quickly understand business needs create clear technical solutions and effectively communicate with both business and technical stakeholders.
