Anderson Universitys Office of Information Technology invites applications for the role of full-time Audiovisual (AV) and Technology Support Specialist. The AV and Technology Support Specialist serves as a key resource for classroom technology audiovisual systems and essential computing needs providing responsive on-site support and troubleshooting to faculty staff and students across classroom and media spaces. As a primary point of contact the AV and Technology Support Specialist will demonstrate excellent customer service addressing real-time technical issues and scheduled support requests offering first-level support for Windows and macOS systems printers peripherals and software installations and documenting all activity in the IT ticketing system. Additionally this role will assist with setup of audiovisual equipment for campus events maintain AV and loaner equipment inventory and create training and instructional media to help the university community more effectively use equipment and technologies ensuring compliance to university policies regarding acceptable use and data security.
Knowledge equivalent to that gained through a bachelors degree along with 3 years of comprehensive work experience in technical support AV support or a customer-facing technology role preferably in higher education is required. A basic understanding of audiovisual systems and classroom technology as well as working knowledge of Windows and macOS and ability to learn new applications and systems is required. Strong customer service organization and communication skills and familiarity of classroom spaces and learning technologies IT ticketing systems wireless casting is preferred. Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting equipment (up to 40 lbs) demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects within a deadline and a commitment to Anderson Universitys Christ-centered mission and community.
