Onondaga Community College located in Syracuse NY is a college of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and one of 30 locally sponsored community colleges throughout New York State. Onondaga County is our sponsor. We offer two-year degree programs that serve as transfer opportunities to baccalaureate degree programs at four-year campuses or for direct entry to the workforce. The Computing & Applied Technology Department at Onondaga Community College seeks Automotive Technology adjunct instructors for daytime and evening teaching assignments beginning with the spring 2025 semester and beyond. Courses are typically offered Monday - Thursday from 8:00am to 10:00pm with possible Friday and/or Saturday daytime offerings if enrollment demand warrants.

Need varies by semester but we envision openings for instructors qualified to teach the following courses:

• Masters degree in Automotive Technology (or a closely-related field) with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Bachelors degree in Automotive Technology (or closely-related field) with industry-recognized certifications with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Associate Degree in Automotive Technology and industry-recognized certifications with at least 10 years of industry-related experience.
• Automotive industry experience industry-recognized training and industry-recognized certifications with at least 20 years of industry-related experience.

• Adjunct rate of pay for the 26/27 academic year is $1527/credit will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment.
• Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teachers Retirement System.
