Automotive Technician – Up to 55Hour

Job Summary
AM Ford is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our growing Service Department. The ideal candidate is a productive quality-focused technician who takes pride in diagnosing vehicles correctly completing repairs efficiently and fixing vehicles right the first time.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical and drivability concerns.
- Perform routine maintenance and general automotive repairs.
- Perform brake suspension steering HVAC electrical engine and other repairs based on experience and certification level.
- Use diagnostic equipment and manufacturer resources to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
- Perform thorough multi-point inspections on customer vehicles.
- Identify and document recommended maintenance and additional repairs.
- Clearly document diagnosis repairs performed and parts required on repair orders.
- Communicate findings and repair recommendations with Service Advisors.
- Complete repairs according to Ford and dealership specifications.
- Maintain strong productivity and efficiency while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Perform quality-control checks before vehicles are returned to customers.
- Keep your work area tools and equipment clean and organized.
- Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures.
- Participate in Ford factory training and continuing education.
- Work with the Service Manager Advisors Parts Department and other technicians to keep vehicles moving efficiently through the shop.
- Previous professional automotive repair experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to perform repairs independently.
- Ford or dealership experience is preferred but not required.
- ASE or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
- Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
- Must have basic automotive technician tools.
- Strong work ethic reliability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment.
- Commitment to providing safe and quality repairs.
- Competitive pay up to $55/hour based on experience skill level and certifications.
