Automotive Technician – Up to 55Hour

AM Ford is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our growing Service Department. The ideal candidate is a productive quality-focused technician who takes pride in diagnosing vehicles correctly completing repairs efficiently and fixing vehicles right the first time.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical and drivability concerns.
• Perform routine maintenance and general automotive repairs.
• Perform brake suspension steering HVAC electrical engine and other repairs based on experience and certification level.
• Use diagnostic equipment and manufacturer resources to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
• Perform thorough multi-point inspections on customer vehicles.
• Identify and document recommended maintenance and additional repairs.
• Clearly document diagnosis repairs performed and parts required on repair orders.
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations with Service Advisors.
• Complete repairs according to Ford and dealership specifications.
• Maintain strong productivity and efficiency while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Perform quality-control checks before vehicles are returned to customers.
• Keep your work area tools and equipment clean and organized.
• Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures.
• Participate in Ford factory training and continuing education.
• Work with the Service Manager Advisors Parts Department and other technicians to keep vehicles moving efficiently through the shop.

• Previous professional automotive repair experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to perform repairs independently.
• Ford or dealership experience is preferred but not required.
• ASE or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Must have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
• Must have basic automotive technician tools.
• Strong work ethic reliability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced service environment.
• Commitment to providing safe and quality repairs.
