Performance Ford of Somerville is seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician to join our team in Somerville this role you will play a key part in maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure the highest levels of safety and performance for our customers. • Perform diagnostics maintenance and repairs on vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical and electrical issues and provide accurate assessments to customers.
• Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes brake repairs tire rotations and engine tune-ups.
• Maintain detailed records of all service and repairs performed.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to explain vehicle issues and recommended repairs.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
• Stay up to date with latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an automotive service technician or mechanic preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines transmissions brakes and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals diagrams and service bulletins.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• ASE certification is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
