The Automotive Service Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the repair shop while creating an exceptional customer experience and achieving sales and profitability goals.

This position leads the service advisors and technicians oversees workflow maintains shop efficiency coaches team members and ensures repairs are completed accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can motivate a team develop employees build customer trust and drive business growth.

• Lead coach and develop service advisors and technicians

• Drive sales while maintaining an outstanding customer experience

• Schedule and manage shop workflow for maximum productivity

• Monitor daily sales labor gross profit and key performance indicators

• Review repair recommendations for accuracy and value

• Ensure repairs are completed safely correctly and on time

• Hire train and develop team members

• Maintain inventory and control operating expenses

• Build relationships with fleet customers and local businesses

• Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly

• Maintain compliance with safety environmental and company standards

• Perform opening and closing manager responsibilities

• Create a positive team culture focused on accountability communication and results

• Previous experience as an Automotive Service Manager Shop Manager Assistant Manager Service Advisor or similar leadership role

• Automotive repair industry experience required

• Strong leadership and team-building skills

• Excellent customer service and communication abilities

• Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to educate customersnot pressure them

• Ability to read repair orders and understand vehicle maintenance recommendations

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Basic computer proficiency and point-of-sale experience

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record

• ASE certifications are a plus

• Experience with shop management software

• Experience managing technicians and service advisors

• Fleet account management experience

• Lift up to 50 pounds without assistance

• Frequent standing walking bending reaching and climbing

• Ability to safely operate customer vehicles

• Comfortable working in both office and shop environments
