Job Summary
Under general supervision perform skilled mechanical work in the repair and maintenance of gas and diesel vehicles and equipment; diagnose mechanical defects repair and recondition tune engines and perform diversified preventative maintenance and body repair.
Applicant must be task oriented and possess the following:High school diploma or GED and two years experience in maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment having gas or diesel of a valid Illinois Vehicle Operators License (C.D.L. Class B (minimum) with air brake endorsement) as required by to perform mechanical maintenance and repairs of gas and diesel vehicles and ability to determine origin of malfunctions in vehicles and determine corrective the ability to perform arduous physical to prepare service to cut weld and fabricate parts as needed for skills both orally and in satisfactory working relationships with the other employees
