Automation QA Engineer

We are requesting a temporary contractor to cover a paternity leave absence from October 26 2026 through January 7 2027. The additional resource will help ensure uninterrupted project execution maintain delivery commitments and preserve overall team effectiveness during this period.
Responsibilities:

• Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering product management design and research to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
• Develop and implement scalable test automation solutions to improve test coverage reliability and efficiency.
• Design execute and maintain automated tests for functional integration performance and end-to-end scenarios.
• Create automation test plans and test cases from product requirements technical designs and user workflows.
• Diagnose defects perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Validate product quality across diverse platforms operating systems and deployment environments.
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and quality gates.
• Monitor quality metrics and test outcomes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Drive innovation in test automation tooling and quality engineering best practices to increase team effectiveness and product quality.

Required Skills:

• 24 years of experience in software test automation quality engineering or software development.
• Strong programming skills in Python JavaScript Java C or similar languages.
• Experience developing and maintaining test automation frameworks tools and infrastructure.
• Proficiency using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Copilot ChatGPT) to accelerate test development and debugging.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) testing methodologies and CI/CD practices.
• Strong debugging root cause analysis and defect-tracking skills.
• Familiarity with performance scalability reliability and end-to-end testing.
• Experience testing desktop web and/or cloud-based applications.
• Strong analytical problem-solving communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience testing AI/ML-powered products or GenAI features.
• Familiarity with image-processing creative applications or automation-driven quality evaluation.
