Automation Mechanical Engineer

The Mechanical Engineer at Koops designs and develops mechanical components equipment and systems for custom automation. Working closely with all members of the project team and customers this role brings innovative machine designs from concept through completion while balancing quality cost and timing.

• Design custom automation equipment using 3D CAD software

• Develop mechanical systems incorporating robotics pneumatics hydraulics and other mechanical components

• Analyze equipment requirements and develop solutions that meet customer needs

• Collaborate with internal teamand customers to optimize machine designs

• Develop and conduct testing to validate equipment performance and functionality

• Adapt designs based on customer and project requirements

• Troubleshoot design and equipment challenges using creative problem-solving

• Take ownership of designs from initial concept through project completion

Were looking for a creative mechanically minded engineer who enjoys variety and takes ownership of delivering high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating changing requirements and collaborating across teams to solve complex automation challenges.

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field

• 3 years of experience designing automation equipment

• Experience with 3D CAD software

• Experience designing systems involving robotics pneumatics hydraulics or other mechanical systems

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

• High level of integrity and commitment to quality

• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
