Automation Engineer (Injection Molding)

Oxford Solutions is working with a manufacturing client seeking an Automation Engineer with strong injection molding experience. This position will support the design installation qualification troubleshooting and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and development of new automation systems
• Coordinate equipment installation testing and qualification activities
• Maintain troubleshoot and improve existing automation equipment
• Support production start-ups involving automated machinery
• Identify equipment issues and implement corrective actions
• Develop and maintain standard work procedures
• Work closely with production maintenance engineering and quality teams
• Ensure automation projects follow manufacturing safety requirements
• Review technical drawings and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering automation manufacturing or a related field preferred
• Candidates with more than five years of injection molding processing experience may be considered in place of a degree
• 3-5 years of injection molding experience required
• Experience supporting automation equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical electrical and process-related equipment issues
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices and standard work methods
• Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills
