Summary
Manatts Autobody/Paint Technician works independently and as a team doing frame body & mechanical repairs performed on semi tractors trailers box trucks pickups & many other large heavy vehicles and equipment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Tears-down repairs and assembles damaged vehicles using metal-cutting tools/grinders.
- Grinds sands masks and otherwise prepares vehicles for painting.
- Secures and fits replacement parts using welding equipment.
- Identifies and reports any additional maintenance and/or repairs found necessary in conducting assigned tasks.
- Mixes polyester resins and hardeners to be used in restoring damaged areas completing fiberglass repairs and proper use of other body fillers like Bondo.
- Able to produce and maintain high quality work and standards.
- Follows safety guidelines and wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Keeps work area clean and cleared of any debris and uphold environmental regulations.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Valid drivers license with safe driving record.
- Physical ability to enter exit and work around/on large vehicles

- Vision requirements include ability to see close distant color and depth perception
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience in autobody/paint preferred.
