Job Summary
Summary Description
Provide support for theclassroom teacher and building as outlined in the Work-Based Learning training plan.
Qualifications
- Current High School Student
- Ability to relate and communicate effectively with students teachers and parents.
- Basic reading writing and computation skills; good written and oral communication skills; basic computer skills preferred.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate well in a team environment.
- Responsibility and integrity with dealing with personal information.
- This must fit into their schedule.
- Must maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher at the homeschool.
Essential Duties
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist with monitoring student safety in the lab.
- Assist the teacher in demonstrating proper tool usage.
- Assist the teacher with lab equipment demonstrations.
- Aide students in the location of tools and equipment as needed
- Aide students with any assigned tasks as needed.
Placements
The Auto Technician student assistant will be placed at Dowell J Howard Center.
Pay Rate
The rates for FY26: 1st year - $15.00
2nd year - $15.25
3rd year - $15.50
