Auto Body Technician - Full time Location: Highland IL
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join a busy and growing collision repair team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs works well in a fast-paced environment and values teamwork and craftsmanship.
The technician will play a key role in restoring damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition while ensuring safety accuracy and customer satisfaction throughout the repair process.
Key Responsibilities
Perform collision repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
Inspect vehicle damage and create accurate repair solutions following manufacturer standards.
Repair or replace damaged body panels structural components and related parts.
Use frame machines measuring systems welding tools and other repair equipment safely and effectively.
Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards.
Maintain repair documentation including labor performed and materials used.
Communicate repair progress and updates with management and team members.
Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of required parts and materials.
Meet production goals while maintaining attention to detail and workmanship quality.
Keep the work area clean organized and compliant with safety regulations.
Follow all company policies and procedures related to workplace safety and hazardous material handling.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of auto body or collision repair experience required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Collision repair or vocational training is a plus.
Strong understanding of repair procedures tools materials and body shop equipment.
Ability to read repair orders estimates and manufacturer repair instructions.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a production-driven environment.
Valid drivers license preferred with a good driving record.
