Job Summary

Auto Body Technician - Full time
Location: Highland IL

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join a busy and growing collision repair team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs works well in a fast-paced environment and values teamwork and craftsmanship.

The technician will play a key role in restoring damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition while ensuring safety accuracy and customer satisfaction throughout the repair process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform collision repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
  • Inspect vehicle damage and create accurate repair solutions following manufacturer standards.
  • Repair or replace damaged body panels structural components and related parts.
  • Use frame machines measuring systems welding tools and other repair equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain repair documentation including labor performed and materials used.
  • Communicate repair progress and updates with management and team members.
  • Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of required parts and materials.
  • Meet production goals while maintaining attention to detail and workmanship quality.
  • Keep the work area clean organized and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures related to workplace safety and hazardous material handling.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of auto body or collision repair experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Collision repair or vocational training is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of repair procedures tools materials and body shop equipment.
  • Ability to read repair orders estimates and manufacturer repair instructions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a production-driven environment.
  • Valid drivers license preferred with a good driving record.
