Autistic Support Paraprofessional

As a paraprofessional youll encourage young learners support teachers and help students feel seen and capablewhether youre guiding them through a lesson or just offering a smile when they need it. Youll bring patience kindness and a steady presence to every day.

What Success Looks Like:

• Students feel supported safe and included in the classroom
• Kids make progress in their learning and try new things with your encouragement
• Teachers trust and rely on you for daily support
• The classroom is a smoother more positive place because of your presence
• By years end students are more confidentand you know you helped them get there

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must have an associate degree 48 college credits or successfully pass a rigorous test approved by the PA Dept of Education
• The following background clearances are required: Act 151 Act 34 Act 24 and IdentoGO FBI clearance
• Experience working with children preferred but not required
• Must have the ability to read write speak and understand English fluently

Work environment:

The work environment is lively and hands-on. Youll spend your day in classrooms and hallways always moving and interacting with students and staff. Flexibility is importantno two days are exactly the same. Youll be part of a supportive team that values collaboration kindness and making school a welcoming place for every child.
