Clark Schaefer Hackett one of the most highly regarded mid-market CPA and advisory firms in the country is seeking an Audit Associate II to join our nationally recognized Nonprofit & Employee Benefit Plan Practice in a hybrid work environment.

Our Not-for-Profit Group partners with more than 700 organizations ranging from local charities to institutions with annual budgets exceeding $1 billion. We provide audit tax and advisory services to organizations that strengthen communities and improve lives every day including charitable and social service agencies healthcare providers foundations museums housing programs faith-based institutions and professional associations.

What Youll Do:

  • Participate in financial statement audits reviews and compilations for nonprofit and employee benefit plan clients.
  • Assist with Single Audits for organizations receiving federal funding.
  • Perform audit testing and evaluate internal controls.
  • Prepare audit workpapers and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate directly with clients and collaborate with engagement team members managers and partners.
  • Develop expertise in nonprofit and employee benefit plan auditing while growing your public accounting career.

Qualifications :

What You Bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • 1-3 years of audit or assurance experience.
  • Understanding of audit methodology and financial statement engagements.
  • Strong communication collaboration and relationship-building skills.
  • Desire to learn grow and build a long-term career in public accounting.
  • CPA or CPA-track status is a plus but not required.
  • Previous nonprofit audit experience is a plus but not required.
