Position Summary:
The Audience & Membership Manager supports the growth engagement and retention of Snap Studios audience across audio video and digital platforms. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Snap Judgment PLUS and Spooked PLUS including subscriber onboarding benefits delivery renewals and retention workflows while helping drive membership acquisition and revenue.
The Manager contributes to Snap Studios expansion into YouTube and other emerging platforms by supporting content publishing coordinating workflows and implementing platform-specific strategies that bring audio storytelling into a video-first environment. They also help manage Snaps digital presence across social media email and web executing audience engagement strategies that reflect the voice and values of the shows.
Working closely with editorial production and creative teams this role ensures audience and membership considerations are integrated into content planning and promotion. The Audience & Membership Manager is both detail-oriented and proactive using data to inform decisions improve performance and support the execution of initiatives that deepen audience relationships and contribute to sustainable growth.

This role will work hybrid between working in KQEDs newly renovated headquarters and working remotely.
Essential Functions:- Lead day-to-day management of Snap Judgment PLUS and Spooked PLUS on Supercast including subscriber onboarding benefits delivery renewals and retention workflows
- Develop and optimize audience conversion pathways that move listeners from casual fans to paying members
- Own and track membership KPIs including acquisition churn engagement and revenue; provide clear actionable reporting to leadership
- Lead Snap Studios expansion onto YouTube and emerging video platforms including strategy execution and performance tracking
- Develop platform-specific strategies that translate audio storytelling into compelling video-first formats
- Coordinate production and publishing workflows for video content across platforms
- Own Snap Studios digital presence across Instagram YouTube Facebook and other relevant platforms
- Build and execute social media and audience engagement strategies aligned with the voice and values of Snaps shows
- Coordinate release and promotional workflows across public and subscriber feeds
- Build and execute email web and content strategies that deepen audience relationships and drive membership growth
- Write and oversee audience communications that are engaging authentic and aligned with brand voice
- Partner with editorial leadership to integrate audience growth and membership value into show planning from inception
- Identify and develop platform distribution and partnership opportunities that expand reach and support revenue growth
- Manage and track ad campaigns
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Job Functions:
- Collaborate with the graphics/design team to develop high-performing visual content for digital and social platforms
- Monitor trends across audio video and membership ecosystems and surface relevant opportunities to leadership
- Test and pilot new platforms tools and audience engagement approaches
- Contribute to cross-functional planning and strategic initiatives across Snap Studios
- Support rapid execution of new ideas and experiments that drive audience and revenue growth
Knowledge/Experience Required:
- Demonstrated experience in audience development membership subscription platforms or digital media operations
- Hands-on experience managing membership or subscription platforms with a strong understanding of conversion and retention drivers
- Operational knowledge of video platforms (especially YouTube) including publishing workflows and performance optimization
- Strong writing skills including both internal communications and audience-facing content
- Experience using data and analytics to inform decisions and measure performance
- Proven ability to build scalable systems and processes that sustain growth over time
- Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and execute without close supervision
- Strong alignment with and enthusiasm for audio storytelling and audience engagement
Knowledge/Experience Desired:
Experience with platforms such as Supercast Patreon or similar membership tools
Background in public radio podcasting or nonprofit media environments
Familiarity with podcast distribution platform partnerships and content ecosystems
Experience working cross-functionally with editorial production and creative teams
Comfort using AI tools to support content creation audience engagement or operational efficiency
