The successful attorney will manage civil defense matters from inception through resolution including written discovery motion practice depositions settlement negotiations client reporting mediation and trial preparation.

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Bar admission required
• Rhode Island admission is strongly preferred for junior candidates
• New Hampshire or Connecticut admission is a plus
• Prior law firm litigation experience
• Civil defense litigation experience strongly preferred
• Experience with written discovery depositions motion practice mediation and trial work preferred
• Strong research writing advocacy and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage an active caseload while collaborating with colleagues
