Job Description:

The Brunswick Judicial Circuit Public Defender Office is seeking to fill an Assistant Public Defender 1 position. The caseload will consist of cases in the Superior Court Juvenile Court and Drug Court throughout the Circuit. The circuit consists of five counties: Glynn Camden Wayne Jett Davis and Appling. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities for the position. Applicants must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. Emphasis will be placed upon the candidates demonstrated commitment to indigent defense.

Description of Duties: The Assistant Public Defender 1 will provide competent and zealous representation and advocacy to indigent clients. This position performs beginning-level professional legal work and may assist in cases of routine complexity. Performs other related duties as required.
