Athletic Trainer
Job Summary
Under the direction of the High School Principal provide instruction on the prevention evaluation management treatment and rehabilitation of physical injuries to student athletes engaged in various school sports and physical education activities; serve as a liaison between the students parents coaches and physicians in evaluation management care and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
Education RequirementBachelors degree from a Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) accredited Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) college or universityLicenses/Certificates RequirementPossession of a valid Class C or higher California Motor Vehicle Operators License in order to drive the District-assigned vehiclePossession of a valid Board of Certification Certified Athletic Trainer CertificationPossession of a current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Professional Rescuer Certificate or similar accepted by the Board of Certification (BOC) for the Athletic Trainer
