Job Description:
As a new graduate in the production planning role you will assist in planning scheduling and monitoring manufacturing status and approval of products through the entire production cycle to meet production and ultimately customer requirements. You will work from engineering plans and production specifications to ensure timely provision of materials. Additionally you will advise management on the status of work in progress coordinate with manufacturing quality and supply chain teams and interface with engineering program management and external customers. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the availability of materials and labor to meet production needs and delivery commitments as well as resolving labor and material shortages backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
Essential Functions:
Develop and implement manufacturing build plans to meet customer contractual delivery schedules
Utilize Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system to input Master Schedule build plans track material availability status kit readiness release shop orders andmaintainall shop order records and inventory integrity
Update andmaintainmake items lead times within MRP system
Manage floor stock of program components
Work jointly with Manufacturing and Quality teams to execute build schedule and address any issuesin a timely manner
Work with Materials Planners to proactively manage the schedule and material dock dates to ensure accuracy of planning
Provide hardware status updates and performance statistics to program team based on status of hardware through Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Qualifications:
To be eligible applicants must be pursuing a bachelors degree in supply chain management Logistics Management Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering Business Administration or related field or have completed their bachelors degree within the last 12 months regardless of age.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in Virgina is $46500 - $86500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
