Job Description:
Participates in the design of detail parts assemblies and installations foraircraftstructures mission equipment installations and mechanical systems installations. Engineer applies basic engineering design and/or analytical theory with understanding of structural analysis for application to integrated system design. Engineers willbe responsible forresearch development of layouts preparation of engineering drawings and coordination of design activities with Tooling Flight Sciences Manufacturing and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum cost. Designs will beaccomplishedusing world-class three-dimensional solid modeling CAD tools and work will beaccomplishedwith senior-level design engineers. Mechanical design engineershave the opportunity towork on a wide variety of tasks andaircraftsystems on variousaircraftplatforms.
Qualifications:
To be eligible applicants must be pursuing a bachelors degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Aeronautical/Civil Engineeringor have completed theirbachelorsdegree within the last 12monthsregardlessof age.
Good computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office arerequired.
Be able to walk to and from the flight line work inaircrafthangar environment and board/exitaircraftisrequired.
Willingto travel orrelocate if necessary.
Preferred Skills:
CAD skills are highly desired
Understanding of basicaircraftsystems
Position requires the ability to obtain andmaintaina DOD Secret Security Clearance at the Secret level which requires U.S. Citizenship.
