Position Summary:
MedInsight is seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate General Counsel to lead our legal and compliance team and oversee MedInsight contractual affairs. This hands-on role will provide strategic legal advice ensure compliance with regulatory requirements manage the contracting process and provide legal support to new and existing business are looking for a candidate with proven experience at the intersection of healthcare and technology with specialized knowledge in healthcare data privacy clinical data acquisition and interoperability consumer and data protection AI and emerging technology governance and data licensing and commercialization ideal candidate will have strong business acumen a high degree of comfort advising leadership teams and a demonstrated ability to deliver solutions-oriented legal strategies along with proven negotiation skills and experience managing complex contracts.
This role reports to MedInsights Chief Operating Officer and works in close coordination with Millimans Corporate Legal team which provides support across client and vendor contracting litigation M&A and firm-wide policy is a Seattle-based position with Tu/Thu in office.
What youll do:
- Provideexpert legal advice to executive leadership and senior management on legal matters including HIPAATEFCAprivacyintellectual propertyand other relevant law
- Develop and implement legal and regulatory strategies to support existing and new business initiatives and product offerings
- Negotiate draft and manage contracts with clients vendors and partners ensuring favorable terms and compliance with relevant obligations
- Advice on healthcare data acquisition licensing commercialization interoperability and strategic partnerships involving data assets.
- Overseelicensecontracttemplates andapprovalworkflows
- Establish manage andmaintainoutside counsel relationships as necessary
- Consultfrequentlywith Millimans Global Corporate Services team(s) to ensure legal and regulatory alignment
- Collaborate with and counsel various internal departments (Product IT Security Sales and Account Management and Operations) to supportMedInsightneeds
- Oversee MedInsight policies and processes for clientvendorand partner contracts ensuring continuous process optimization andappropriate day-to-daymanagement by business operations managers.
- Define annualobjectivesand goals for MedInsight legal and regulatory compliance set KPIsmonitorperformance and adapt plans agilely to achievehigh-performanceoutcomes
- Special legally relevant projects as assigned
This is an individual contributor position with a high degree of expected influence and indirect leadership across MedInsight required in the future this position may assume supervision responsibility for 1-3 junior staff.
What we need:
- Member of the State Bar in good standing
- 10 years of experience in a senior in-house legal role in healthcare with preferred experience in healthcare technology or data commercialization
- In-depth knowledge of legal areas includinghealthcare data privacy clinical data acquisition and interoperability consumer and data protection AI and emerging technology governance and data licensing and commercialization agreements.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong relationships across executives internal partners and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting SaaS businesses.
- Experience negotiating enterprise technology agreements.
- Experience with healthcare analytics payer provider or life sciences organizations.
- Experience advising on TEFCA interoperability and healthcare data exchange frameworks.
- Experience supporting healthcare data acquisition licensing commercialization or strategic data partnerships.

Location
- This role will be in Seattle Washington and follow a hybrid schedule requiring at least 2-3 days in office per week. The expected application deadline for this job is August 1 2026.
Compensation
- The salary range is $208610 - 354660 depending on relevant factors but not limited to education work experience certifications etc.
