Job Title: Associate Financial Institution Analyst (AMF)
Reports to: AMF Team Lead

Summary: This position is a full-time position. The FID Associate position supports the Relationship Managers and other team members to promote banking products and services to Financial Institutions clients. Assists RM and other team members to perform the role of risk ownership and take proactive responsibility and accountability in risk management as the 1st Line of Defense.
Responsibilities:
Business and client development: Assist RM to solicit targeted clients;
- Assist RM to establish business relationships and promote bank products and services to prospective clients based on the clients needs and potential business opportunities;
- Assist RM to evaluate transactions and negotiate transaction terms with banking partners and/or prospective clients.
Due diligence and credit investigation on clients: Assist RM to perform the initial due diligence analysis and prepare the Know Your Customer (KYC) reports CMS and Actimize operations;
- Assist RM to prepare credit rating and credit line application;
- Assist RM to perform credit and financial analysis and prepare credit application reports;
- Under RMs direction communicate with Credit Department and/or other related parties (i.e. agent bank other branches/subsidiaries Legal department and Compliance department etc.) about the proposed transaction;
- Assist RM to monitor the entire credit application and approval process to ensure to adhere the timeline.
- Assist RM on the closing process including but not limited to preparing facility information sheet funding arrangement by coordination with Treasury Department GCMS operations and ensure timely closing.
Risk management as 1st Line of Defense (1st LoD): Assist RM to own and manage risk as 1st LoD by-products and risk categories;
- Assist RM to align strategic capital and financial plans to risk management goals;
- Assist RM to perform loan classification;
- Assist RM to perform portfolio monitoring at transactional level;
- Assist RM to monitor external and internal covenants and report breaches (via GCMS system);
- Assist RM to identify any loan deterioration and work with credit departments to proactively adjust credit ratings and/or asset classification accordingly;
- Assist RM to perform enhanced portfolio monitoring ad-hoc reports;
- Assist RM to perform regular KYC and ad-hoc KYC reviews;
- Assist RM to ensure all the reports are delivered on time;
- Assist RM to report and follow up on non-performing facilities if any;
- Act as risk managers with the responsibility for identifying acting on and escalating risks and are held strictly accountable for the failure to discharge their risk management duties;
- Be responsible for demonstrating risk awareness by following all policies procedures and internal control in their daily routine.
Post-credit management: Assist RM to perform loan classification;
- Assist RM to perform post-disbursement reviews and prepare the post-disbursement report;
- Assist RM to perform KYC review and prepare KYC review report;
- Assist RM to create reports and follow up on the non-performing facilities if any;
Client relationship management: Assist RM to record and keep client communication log including but not limited to call notes up to date;
- Under RMs direction assist RM to maintain client relationships by understanding clients feedback of bank products and services in order to offer satisfactory products and services to clients;
- Assist RM to deliver clients feedback of bank products and services to internal departments and senior management and work internally to meet client needs;
- Assist RM to arrange and coordinate the business visit to the existing clients and prospects;
- Assist RM to maintain a healthy and close business relationship with clients.
Risk Management Enhancement and Remediation related work:
- Follow Brahchs remediation plan;
- Implement the remediation requirement and cooperate with other departments/teams on the remediation work;
- Participate in internal/external training to enhance the risk management;
- Provide feedback to related departments/teams about the progress and the questions raised from the remediation work if any.
Other assigned tasks:
- Be familiar and comply with the Branchs policies and procedures;
- Assist RM Team Lead and/or FID Head to conduct the business research of the specified industry sectors;
- Assist Team Lead and/or FID Head to prepare the reports summaries required by the Branch and H.O.;
- Participate in relevant meetings as assigned based on job responsibilities or at the direction of the supervisor. Prepare and present meeting materials as required and ensure the effective execution and communication of meeting outcomes;
- Ensure adherence to the Branchs Business Continuity Plan (BCP) policy and fulfill backup responsibilities;
- Assist Team Lead of AMF and/or FID Head with other ad-hoc tasks within the team/department.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in economics mathematics finance business or related majors.
1-year related experience preferred and experience of credit analysis or client-facing in banking or non-banking financial institutions a plus.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently
Flexible to handle new responsibilities
Excellent business communication and writing skills
Strong analytical skills in financial statement and credit
Must be proficient in Microsoft office strong excel skill a plus
Bilingual in English and Chinese is a plus
