Position Summary:
The Associate Director of Compliance Systemsis responsible fordesigning implementing and continuously improving the organizational systems tools governance processes and cross-functional operating practices that enable GLIDE to consistently meet contractual and grant compliancerequirements. Rather than administering contracts or grants this role builds theorganizational infrastructure that supportsprogrammatic finance operations and developmentand otherteams in fulfilling their own compliance responsibilities while advancing organizational effectiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Compliance Systems & Infrastructure
- Support the CCIO to design implementand continuously improvethe systems tools processes and cross-functional coordination necessaryfor departments across GLIDE(FinanceFund DevelopmentPrograms OpsHRetc.)to effectively meet their compliance responsibilities.
- Buildandmaintaincross-systemcompliancedashboards calendarsorganizational compliance checklistsand otherreporting toolstoimproveorganizationalvisibility and accountabilityforcontract/grantcompliance requirements.
- Conduct and document biannualcomplianceassessmentswith the CCIOtobuild and improve compliant practices and culture across GLIDE.
- Collaboratewith the CCIO and compliance leads across departments (FinanceFund Development ProgramsOperationsHRetc.) to standardizecomplianceworkflows templates checklists toolkits and documentation.
- Maintain centralized repositories for compliancedocumentation and institutional knowledge.
- In collaboration with CCIO Program leads and staff developorganizational readiness processes for contract audits and monitoring visitsas well as audit preparation tools (e.g.standardized auditchecklistsand timelines).
- Surface emerging compliancerisksand gapsat the organizational leveland recommend process improvements.
Cross-Functional Project Leadership
- Partner across departments andfacilitatecross-functional working groups when necessary to foster shared accountability for compliance processesestablishclear divisions of laborand ensure that compliance requirements are integrated into standardoperations.
- Manageorganizational changeprojectsaround compliancefrom planning through execution;effectively coordinatestakeholders timelines dependencies and clear goal-driven communication.
- Work withFinanceFundDevelopment and Programteams tosupporteffectivecollaborationacross verticals to ensure programmatic and fiscal compliance and accountability.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree (preferred not) and 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of progressively responsible experience in project management organizational operations compliance systemsand/or process improvement.
- Strong facilitation communication systems thinking andchangemanagement skills.
- Experience in community-based social or health services agency and basic knowledge of program design program workflows and programmatic/fiscal monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience working with databases data collection tools and data analysis.
- Experience in nonprofit organizations with government-funded contracts and grants; experience in administering San Francisco City and County contracts preferred.
- Demonstratedtrack recordof success in cross-systems project management.
- Strong analyticand creative problem-solvingskills. Ability to synthesize information from diverse resources to formulatepossible recommendations/solutionsfor complex systems.
- Ability to translateorganizational goals and priorities into actionlead cross-system initiatives frominceptionto execution anditerate onprocesses for continuous improvement
- Demonstrated experience in aligning stakeholders around organizational change management initiatives.
- Demonstratedcultural humilityandthe ability to work effectivelywith peopleof alldifferent backgrounds.

- Strong senseof independent initiativeand follow-through able towork independently and collaborativelyas part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work on a computer and see details of objects atcloserange.
- Ability to hear withinnormalrange and communicate effectively (in person telephone orZoom).
- Finger dexterity and the ability to use all standard office equipment.
- Sit or standcomfortably;and the ability to navigate throughout office spaces (via elevator or stairs).
$95000 - $115000 a year
This is a fulltime (40 hour/week) Exempt position.
Work Environment
GLIDEs buildings are located in the Tenderloin maintains an open door policy to the community and its clients who frequently enter and leave the building.
