Job Summary

The Associate Director AMI Clinical Engagement will serve as a player-coach and onsite leader for the Allergan Aesthetics Training Center in Austin Texas. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the onsite Clinical Education team while actively supporting and delivering training programs. The Associate Director will partner closely with leadership to ensure consistent execution of training center programs adherence to standard operating procedures and alignment across training locations including Irvine and Atlanta. This individual will also serve as a trainer delivering presentations and hands-on clinical education to customers as needed. This position requires regular onsite presence in Austin.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the onsite Clinical Education team to support the delivery of high-quality training programs and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a player-coach by actively delivering presentations demonstrations and hands-on training during training programs.
  • Oversee day-to-day training center operations including staffing scheduling onboarding workflow coordination and resource utilization.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to training center SOPs policies and procedures to maintain standardization across all training centers.
  • Partner closely with leadership to plan implement and monitor training center activities and priorities.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members including role-specific training operational expectations and SOP compliance.
  • Monitor workflows and identify gaps inefficiencies and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Recommend and implement operational enhancements to improve training quality efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with Educational Engagement and other cross-functional partners to ensure alignment and consistency in program execution.
  • Provide coaching feedback and performance support to team members including delegation of work and oversight of progress toward goals.
  • Serve as a liaison between the training center team and leadership providing regular updates on operations challenges and opportunities.
  • Support development and refinement of training protocols clinical policies and center-based procedures.
  • Ensure training activities are conducted in compliance with applicable regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Travel as needed to support clinical engagement initiatives training programs and cross-center consistency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

 

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Current active and unrestricted NP PA or RN license required.
  • Must be based locally in the Austin TX area and able to work onsite regularly; this is not a remote position.
  • 35 years of clinical experience with facial injectables required.
  • 35 years of experience in clinical education training or a related role preferred.
  • 24 years of people management or team leadership experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering educational presentations and hands-on training to small and large groups.
  • Strong ability to coach influence and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Strong organizational planning analytical and prioritization skills.
  • High level of professionalism integrity and accountability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of FDA requirements and regulatory considerations applicable to the Allergan Aesthetics portfolio of products.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 30%; some evening overnight and weekend travel may be required.
  • Must perform all duties in compliance with FDA Quality System Regulation (QSR) ISO 13485 Canadian Medical Device Regulations and all other applicable international regulatory requirements.

Language and Verbal Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly professionally and effectively with team members leadership and customers.

Analytical and Reading Skills:

  • Ability to read interpret and follow company procedures and SOPs.
  • Ability to identify problems collect and analyze data draw valid conclusions and communicate effective findings.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand walk talk and hear; up to 8 hours per day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Work Environment:

Most work is performed in an office-like setting. The noise level in the environment is usually low to moderate. 

Requires regular presence in a (clinical or engineering or animal) laboratory setting where protective equipment or other health and safety measures and training is required to protect against chemical biological or other hazards. Noise levels may be high.

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
