Trane Technologies is hiring an Associate Category Manager in Davidson North Carolina! TheAssociate Category Managerwill manage asegment of the Ferrous Castings category within the North America region. This is a fantastic opportunity for career development into Category Management.

What you will do:

• Collaboration: Identify engage and align with internal stakeholders (engineering operations quality or other business partners) to capture category requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality;

• Partner with business unit Procurement teams to efficiently transition suppliers as needed; Support region/sector New Product Development (NPD) Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs.

• Negotiations: Support negotiations and supplier selection; accountable for contract lifecycle management and compliance.

• Cost Management: Responsible for delivering category productivity through price value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects.

• Supplier Management: Support supplier segmentation Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers within category; Ensure creation of supplier profiles for all SRM suppliers.

• Risk Management: Actively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial capacity quality and compliance.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Business Supply Chain Operations Engineering or related field.

• 2 years of procurement / sourcing experience ex: consulting purchasing / buyer and/or analyst experience.

• Ability to assess vendors and demonstrated negotiating skills.

• Demonstrated experience facilitating discussions and strong conflict resolution skills.

• Professional communication; both verbal and written are required.
