Job Summary

Growing Northwest Arkansas law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its civil litigation practice. This position offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated matters involving real estate construction disputes and business litigation while working alongside experienced attorneys in a collaborative environment. Looking for someone with experience that can take on a caseload immediately!

Responsibilities
  • Manage civil litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution
  • Represent clients in real estate construction contract and business disputes
  • Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings motions briefs discovery and correspondence
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Attend hearings mediations arbitrations and trials
  • Develop case strategies and provide practical legal guidance to clients
  • Communicate regularly with clients opposing counsel experts and other involved parties
  • Assist with settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution
  • Maintain accurate case files deadlines and billable-time records
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Arkansas and in good standing
  • Civil litigation experience strongly preferred
  • Experience involving real estate construction contract or business disputes is a plus
  • Strong legal research writing analytical and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
  • Excellent judgment attention to detail and client-service skills
  • Willingness to take ownership of matters while working collaboratively with the firms attorneys and staff
