Description

This position is responsible for all aspects of instruction along with the development and management of a comprehensive NCAA Division II Womens Soccer program as a component of the college experience which enhances and supports the students liberal arts education. Additionally this position will have secondary responsibilities that support the daily operations of the Athletic Department as assigned by the Director of Athletics.


ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Assists with all phases of the Division II Womens Soccer program.

1. Responsible for complying with all policies and procedures set forth by Assumption University the NE10 Conference and the NCAA.

2. Responsible for promoting and maintaining an atmosphere of NCAA compliance amongst coaches and student-athletes.

3. Assists the Head Coach in organizing supervising coordinating and evaluating practice sessions games and conditioning programs. Utilizes sound teaching techniques in the preparation of games and practices.

4. Assists in developing and implementing strategies for motivating student-athletes to perform at their best in the classroom and on playing surfaces.

5. Assists with identifying evaluating and recruiting potential student-athletes.

6. Assists in coordinating personal development initiatives and community service activities for all student-athletes.

7. Position requires working weekends and nights.

8. Serves as a Campus Security Authority for Clery reporting purposes and a Responsible Employee for Title IX reporting purposes.

9. Participates in public relations activities and works closely with the Universitys athletic communications marketing and fundraising programs. Attends athletic development/alumni functions academic/athletic honors and other special events as designated by the University.

10. Represents the sports programs in the community as appropriate.

11. Perform secondary job-related duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

12. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Head Womens Soccer Coach.

  • Communicates regularly with students parents University personnel high school coaches NCAA and Conference officials.

Requirements
  • Must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University.
  • University coaching experience preferred
  • Strong communication and public relations management and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills in the areas of conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques;
  • Shall maintain current certification in first aid cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillator (AED) use.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and productive working relationships by working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Bachelors Degree /Masters preferred.
  • Must have a current drivers license and meet the qualifications of an Assumption University Driver.
