Assistant Swim Coach

Western Reserve Academy (WRA) is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Swim Coach for the 2026-27 season. The Assistant High School Swimming Coach supports the Head Coach in developing a competitive positive and student-centered swim program. This position is responsible for assisting with daily practices meet preparation athlete development and fostering sportsmanship teamwork and personal growth among student-athletes. The Assistant Coach serves as a positive role model and helps create a safe organized and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting daily swim practices.
• Promote a culture of sportsmanship leadership and personal growth in line with WRAs values.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices meets travel and team activities.
• Assist with meet preparation including lineups meet setup timing scoring and event organization.
• Support team logistics including transportation and equipment management.
• Communicate effectively with the Head Coach student-athletes parents and athletic department staff.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to student-athletes both in and out of the pool.

1. Previous competitive swimming and/or coaching experience.
2. Strong communication organizational and leadership skills.
3. Ability to work evenings weekends and travel with the team as required.
