Job Summary
- Assist the Head Coach in developing the game strategy and designing effective and efficient training and practices for both the team and individual student-athlete.
- Assist with practices competitions and games home and away.
- Enforce team policies and rules assist with fundraising and community involvement. Assist in the recruitment of top-level Division I student-athletes.
- Assist the Head Coach in performing other job-related duties as assigned.
- Responsible for assisting with the oversight of the maintenance of the softball field and upkeep of the equipment.
- Assisting in all aspects of the recruitment process from inception to completion including: the development of recruitment plans targeting potential student-athletes for recruitment purposes and making recommendations.
- Assisting with coordination and implementation of travel arrangements. Assisting with Softball budget management. And other duties assigned by the head coach
- Bachelors degree required.
- Experience as a player in high school and college and/or previous coaching experience.
- Strong knowledge of NCAA SWAC and rules and regulations along with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Division I experience as player and/or coach preferred.
