Assistant Project Manager
Job Summary
Design Hire is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support commercial construction projects from planning through closeout. This role is ideal for someone with experience coordinating project documentation schedules contracts and field activities who is looking to grow into a full Project Management role. Candidates with roofing architectural construction or building envelope experience are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with project planning scheduling and execution from project kickoff through completion.
- Review project scope of work contract documents drawings specifications and project requirements to support successful project delivery.
- Prepare project reports meeting minutes status updates submittals RFIs and other project documentation.
- Coordinate with customers architects contractors vendors fabrication teams and field personnel to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Support project scheduling procurement activities change order tracking closeout documentation and overall project administration.
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering Architecture or a related field preferred.
- Experience supporting commercial construction or architectural projects in an Assistant Project Manager Project Engineer Project Coordinator or similar role.
- Roofing architectural metals façade or building envelope experience preferred.
- Understanding of construction contracts project scheduling project reporting and scope management.
- Working knowledge of BIM coordination and construction modeling preferred.
- Experience with Trimble software or related construction technology is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings specifications and contract documents.
- Strong communication organization attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
