The College is seeking qualified individuals with expertise in social/administrative/behavioral sciences with pharmacoeconomic expertise preferred. The position will be located on the island of Hawaii (Hilo) or Oahu.

The Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy (DKICP) is the only pharmacy school in Hawaii and the Pacific Basin. The college is committed to offering quality heath professional education to meet the needs of the state; driving innovations that advance health science and technology; and providing outreach and services that empower health and well-being in communities.
This is a full-time 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position that reports to the Chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice. The ideal candidate will contribute to teaching research and service with expertise in social administrative and behavioral sciences with pharmacoeconomic expertise preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contribute as a member of the Department of Pharmacy Practice.
- Teach and coordinate courses in the PharmD in-person and extended online program in accordance with the mission of the College of Pharmacy in evidence-based literature evaluation health outcomes/research biostatistics and Pharmacoeconomics.
- Serve as a faculty advisor to pharmacy students.
- Participate in creating new courses and teach topics as assigned by the Department Chair in support of meeting accreditation standards.
- Conduct scholarly activities and build and/or maintain an extramurally funded research program. Involvement in collaborative research programs is encouraged.
- Support the accreditation efforts of the College and University.
- Engage in service to the Department College professional societies University and community.
- Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair or designee.
- The distribution of effort will be approximately 50% teaching 40% research and 10% service.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree(PhD PharmD)ina related fieldfrom an accredited college or university.
- Teachingexperience of 1-3 years in higher education.
- Research experience with evidence of peer-reviewed publications.
- Willingness to collaborate with other faculty on team taught courses.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Five (5) yearsteachingexperience.
- Prior teaching experience in a PharmD program or graduate/professional education.
- Evidence of extramural funding.
- Experience with curricular development assessment and evaluation in a PharmD program.
- Knowledge of the accreditation standards of the Accreditation Council for Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
