The university advances knowledge through research and discovery teaching and learning community engagement and public service and with an intentional focus on student success and research excellence. For more information please visit is a tenure-track 9-month full-time faculty position. Primary duties will includeteaching Mathematics to both undergraduate and graduate students. Other duties include maintaining an active research agenda publishing scholarly manuscripts and conducting research including securing grants. Duties also includeserving on department college and university committees as well as mentoring students. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.

The Department of Mathematics and Physics offers BA BS and MS degrees in Mathematics and BA with a major in Mathematics with grades 7-12 certification degree programs including a fully online certificate program that emphasizes applied data analysis statistical modeling and ethical communication.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate must hold adoctorate in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics. ABDs will also be considered but must have earned a doctorate before appointment. We strongly encourage candidates with Applied and Computational Mathematics coursework. We strongly encourage candidates with (a) a strong record of or potential for sustained publication in peer-reviewed journals (b) have the potential for or prior experience with seeking and/or securing external grant funding (c) have a strong desire to work with first generation students and (d) have the ability to teach in areas that complement or strengthen our undergraduate and graduate courses.
