Assistant Professor of Computer Science

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Seton Hall University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computer Science. The appointment will begin in August 2027.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Preference will be given to candidates whose research expertise aligns with one or more of the following areas: cloud and edge computing cyber-physical systems and AI systems.
Responsibilities include teaching computer science courses at all undergraduate levels and depending on the candidates expertise undergraduate and graduate courses in Cybersecurity and/or Data Science including service courses. Additional responsibilities include supervising student research and maintaining a computer engineering laboratory.

Required Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field is required and must be completed by the start date of employment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching scholarly research and the mentorship of students through undergraduate and graduate research experiences.

Desired Qualifications:

Teaching experience and a record of scholarly publications are preferred.

Salary Range:

$98625- $109583
