Job Description:

Wittenberg Universitys Biology Program invites applications for a tenure-track position in biology focused on molecular neurobiology beginning August 1 2027. This position will support our Neuroscience Biology and Biochemistry & Molecular Biology Programs. Teaching responsibilities include upper-level courses in Molecular Neuroscience and in the candidates specialty with a molecular/cellular focus. Potential courses include Developmental Biology Synaptic Plasticity or Genetics. Candidates will also be expected to contribute to the general education program service courses within the department and to provide undergraduate research opportunities. Funding is available to support faculty research with students travel to professional meetings and other professional development.

Requirements:

  • A Ph.D. in a biological related field is required; candidates that are ABD working toward degree completion will be considered.
  • Candidates must have a strong commitment and interest in teaching in the liberal arts and sciences context.
