The NMSU School of Social Work part of the College of Health Education and Social Transformation invites applicants for Assistant or Associate Professor faculty position. Were seeking a scholar-educator who can teach across our undergraduate and graduate curriculum in person online synchronous and online asynchronous grounded in CSWE/EPAS competencies. The ideal candidate brings an active fundable research agenda a strong record of mentoring students and a genuine commitment to equity-centered social work education.

Rank and tenure status will be determined based on the candidates qualifications experience and record of scholarship teaching and service.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: The faculty member must be able to provide undergraduate and graduate instruction across the Schools curriculum delivered in in-person online synchronous and online asynchronous formats and grounded in CSWE/EPAS competencies. The successful candidate will maintain an active program of scholarship appropriate to rank including peer-reviewed publication and where applicable external funding or grant-seeking activity. The faculty member will also mentor undergraduate/graduate students and contribute to advising. Additional responsibilities include service to the School the University the profession and the broader community along with a demonstrated commitment to diversity equity and inclusive pedagogy.

Required Education and Experience:
Completed doctorate degree in social work area

Equivalent Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
An established record of peer-reviewed scholarship and external research funding with credentials appropriate to appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor
Experience teaching in a PhD-level social work curriculum
Active or license-eligible New Mexico social work licensure appropriate to the positions teaching focus
A minimum of three years of post-MSW social work practice experience
Experience with academic leadership program coordination or committee service
Experience mentoring students and junior faculty
Experience working with Hispanic-Serving Institutions or similarly diverse student populations

Environment: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

Lifting Requirements: Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 10 pounds or some standing or walking.
