What Were Looking For
Ferrum College is seeking an enthusiastic motivated and student-centered Assistant Mens Soccer Coach to help build and sustain a competitive NCAA Division II mens soccer program. This individual will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the program including recruiting coaching player development program administration compliance and student-athlete success.

- Assist in all aspects of the mens soccer program including practices competitions recruiting and daily operations.
- Recruit evaluate and retain qualified student-athletes while ensuring compliance with NCAA Division II and Conference Carolinas regulations.
- Plan and conduct individual and team training sessions focused on technical tactical and physical development.
- Evaluate player performance and provide instruction and mentorship that supports athletic and personal growth.
- Monitor academic progress and encourage student-athlete success in the classroom.
- Assist with budgeting team travel equipment management scheduling and facility coordination.
- Maintain recruiting eligibility and compliance records in accordance with NCAA conference and institutional policies.
- Support fundraising initiatives alumni engagement youth camps and community outreach activities.
- Assist with game preparation scouting and game-day operations.
- Supervise graduate assistants interns and student workers as assigned.
- Promote student-athlete health safety wellness and sportsmanship.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required.
- Valid drivers license.
- Ability to work evenings weekends and travel as required.
- Strong organizational interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas and institutional compliance.
- Masters degree.
- Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience.
- Collegiate recruiting experience.
- Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations.
- Experience mentoring and developing student-athletes in a higher education environment.
