About the role:
Join Enovas Legal Team as an Assistant General Counsel Transactional Law/Contracts ahigh-impact role where you will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner across ourglobal operations in the US Brazil and Mexico. Youll get broad exposure to and anopportunity to take ownership of a high-volume tech-forward practice. You will build expertisein financial services collaborate directly with executive stakeholders and help shape the legalframework that enables Enovas business velocity. We are looking for a nimble business-savvyattorney who thrives on solving complex problems and is eager to champion innovation withinthe legal function. This role reports to the Senior Associate General Counsel.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Contract Leadership: Review draft and negotiate a sophisticated range ofcommercial financial services and technology related contractsincluding strategicpartnerships intercompany services vendors and licensing professional services andNDAsthat drive our global business objectives.
- Business-Ready Advice: Advise and educate business partners on negotiating andstructuring terms and resolving contractual disputes to manage risk proactively while
enabling commercial speed. - Risk Calibration: Serve as a subject matter expert on legal issues affecting businesstransactions including intellectual property privacy data security limitations of liabilityindemnification obligations and specialized financial services regulations.
- Legal Innovation & AI: Own and modernize our contract lifecycle management (CLM)program actively championing the integration of AI tools and automated workflows toboost productivity and effectiveness.
- Partner with our vendor management and Third-Party Risk team to guide businesspartners through diligence and contracting and support post-signing management ofvendor and partner relationships.
- Get exposure to and assist in other transactional matters including strategicpartnerships M&A capital markets and employment law matters as needed.
- Work closely with Contracts Paralegal to provide assistance on administrative mattersrelated to contract review including attention to the maintenance of the vendor contractqueue and other various administrative issues.
- Liaise with regulatory counsel and compliance to ensure compliance with applicablelaws and regulations.
- Manage outside counsel on various corporate and transactional matters as necessary toaccomplish legal and compliance objectives.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with active bar membership in goodstanding.
- 5 years of relevant transactional experience at a well-regarded law firm and/or in-houselegal department.
- Skilled in contract and legal analysis organization attention to detail and translatinglegal risk into practical business-ready recommendations.
- Experience in financial services banking or other related regulated industries ispreferred.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills keen attention to detail and who thrivesmanaging high-volume time-sensitive work and can confidently set expectations withstakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work bothindependently and collaboratively.
- Adaptability and willingness to quickly develop new areas of expertise.
- In-house experience working directly with business partners is a plus but not required.
- AI Fluency: Demonstrated enthusiasm for and comfort with leveraging AI-powered tools(e.g. automated research document analysis) to enhance legal work product andoperational efficiency.
Compensation:
The budgeted annual salary range for this position is $122000 to $165000. Actual annual salary will be determined based on qualifications skills experience and level assessed during the hiring process and may fall outside of the range shown. Additional compensation for this role may include a bonus and restricted stock units. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in Company benefits described in more detail here.
