Job Summary

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or GED;
  2. Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferred;
  3. At least three (3) years experience in public warehousing and/or materials management preferred;
  4. Clear and valid Texas Drivers License (Class B CDL) with an acceptable driving record as established by the district preferred;
  5. Ability to speak read and understand the English language and perform counting and mathematical skills
  6. Proficient in operating a computer calculator and other standard office equipment;
  7. Proficient in use of Microsoft Word and Excel;
  8. Ability to manage personnel;
  9. Knowledgeable of United States Postal Service rules and Fingerprinting and badging regulations preferred;
  10. Physically able to operate 4000 pound fork truck and battery-operated pallet jacks;
  11. Possess working knowledge of inventory control methods and procedures;
  12. Physically able to work in all environmental conditions.

SALARY:

$76329 (BA-5)

Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Supervise evaluate and train employees in the distribution center/warehouse mailroom and fingerprinting and badaging in their assigned duties.
  2. Direct and monitor employee work assignments.
  3. Assist with time/attendance records and approval for assigned employees and complete in the absence of the Director
  4. Ensure district compliance with United States Postal Services rules Fingerprint and badging regulations.
  5. Coordinate deliveries and special deliveries as needed with vendors and various delivery agents.
  6. Supervise the receiving inventory storage and distribution of supplies material and equipment.
  7. Assist the Director in the receiving and distribution of testing material.
  8. Coordinate with textbook and records manager for the receiving and delivery of textbooks.
  9. Assist with the receiving and distribution of furniture and equipment for new and existing buildings.
  10. Ensure orders are filled and delivered to all campuses and support facilities on a timely basis.
  11. Conduct a physical inventory semi-annually or as determined by the administration.
  12. Assist in the recommendation and selection of materials handling equipment.
  13. Operate forklift pallet moving and other standard warehousing equipment in a safe manner.
  14. Become and remain knowledgeable of Cypress-Fairbanks ISD electronic purchasing and inventory management system.
  15. Support the Support Services Department with regular and reliable attendance.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Support Services and / or the Assistant Superintendent for Support Services.

Continual walking standing climbing stooping bending kneeling and reaching; heavy lifting and carrying. Work outside and inside; work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; work on ladders and scaffolding. Exposure to dampness and humidity and slippery or uneven walking surfaces.
