HERES WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROLE:
1) Youll be joining the Services for Students with Disabilities team; a department centered on access and inclusion by determining reasonable accommodations for students in the living and learning environment.
2) Youll be reporting to the Director for Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) in a Regular twelve-month 100% administrative professional appointment.
3) Youll be managing the operations of the SSD Testing Center.
4) Youll ensure the seamless delivery of exam-related accommodations for students with disabilities collaborating with faculty and staff to ensure accessibility and compliance with disability laws.
5) Youll supervise testing staff coordinate resources and play a crucial role in ensuring equitable access to academic assessments for students with disabilities.
6) Youll have the chance to grow and take advantage of a developmental plan with opportunities to advance within the Department and the Division.
7)Youll be offered a base compensation package between $55000 - $65000 along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance paid leave retirement tuition assistance VT discounts and so much more!

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree required.
Experience with supervising full-time professionals.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state laws governing disability rights and accommodations (ADA Section 504 etc.).
Working knowledge of AHEAD standards and best practices for student disability services.
Proficient in effectively communicating with multiple stakeholders.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with faculty staff and community partners.
Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.
Professional experience working with students with disabilities in a higher education setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree and/or equivalent amount of experience working in disability services in higher education.
Experience with universal design for learning (UDL) principles.
